The unwinding of the flow of the signal that was transmitted into the space some time ago through the radio. This signal is spreading further and further from that time and if we think the whole space into one big vinyl record we could wander around it like the groove on a vinyl record. The Relativity is what accompanies all our actions. There are thousands of perspectives and thousands of grooves to ride back and forth. And that’s what I was doing when I was creating this hybrid DJ set with a fragmetnal commentary on the flow of sound imaginatively imprinted in the vinyl groove as a paraphrase of signal transmission in the context of radio. It is an acousmatic montage in different layers of fragments of original radiophonic works made by various local and from abroad artists within the czech radio art project R{A}DIO{CUSTICA}, sometimes also with a bits of author’s speeches.

In the autumn of 2024 Polina Khatsenko and phonon~ invited me to the HearMe! festival to prepare a performative lecture about something somehow related to radio, but it turned out to be a hybrid dj set. But I caught some kind of virus though, so I recorded it. The second iteration was then commissioned by Maryia Kamarova for radio at the Oscillation 2025 festival in Bruxelles. This was also just a recording, which was then just posted by phonon~ on Radio Punctum. I’m looking forward to the next iterations (hopefully as a live set) because I’m actually quite enjoying it. I’m using Serato dj software and vinyls for this. It’s always improvisation = whatever comes to hand. But the more I play it, the more it gets fixed, so I tend to pick something different each time…
