The stone found in the forest, with its beautiful texture, surface colour and perfect shape and proportions, is a magnificent work of genius by the planet Earth. The stone, as material from the set of those in which the complete history of the Earth is inscribed, also contains parallel traces of how the planet sounded in the past and the causality of its contemporary sound. The installation fixes its shape in the future, and subtly and haptically resonates the stone mass with a sound referring to the dominant Mesozoic fauna, whose evolutions lineage is represented today by birds. The sound is created by slowing down the singing of the Sparrow, the Nightingale and the Turkey by 99.2% so that it is still audible.

The installation, in the sense of conventional exhibition practice, was created in response to a fascination with a kind of forest of sculptures in the Plastik Gallery’s permanent collection, based on the stone-sculpture tradition of the region and historically linked to important representatives of the Czech sculpture scene of modern classicism.
